In Fira, you’ll find the central bus station, making it easy to reach any part of the island by the most affordable means—public transport. Tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver with cash. The route between Fira and Oia takes about 20 minutes. The Finikia bus stop is located on the village's eastern side, consisting primarily of pedestrian zones. During peak tourist season, travel time can significantly increase due to traffic congestion.
The Finikia to Fira bus is the most economical, though not the most comfortable, way to reach the capital of Santorini. Buses usually start running as early as 7 a.m., with services every half hour until 10 p.m. No buses are operating at night.
Finikia is situated at a high elevation, offering the best panoramic views of the Aegean Sea islands. If you arrive by bus, you'll have to walk uphill along a path to reach the village of Finikia.
